Valentine's Freedom Cakes
600 cakes to be distributed in Brooklyn as part of National Salute to Veterans
Martina Parauda, Director, VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, invites all Vietnam Era Veterans to attend an event at VA’s Brooklyn Campus, as part of the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration. The event will be held on February 11 at 1PM in the 2nd Floor Assembly Room.
The purpose of the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration is to organize, support and facilitate programs all across America, to assist a grateful nation in thanking and honoring our Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice.
Ms. Parauda will introduce the program, meet and offer thanks to our Vietnam Veterans and distribute lapel pins that honor Vietnam Veterans for their service to our nation.
All Vietnam Era Veterans are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
A similar event was held in early December at VA’s Manhattan Campus and a third program is scheduled for February 20 at 1PM at VA’s Community Living Center at St. Albans.
