The 2016 Community Mental Health Summit “Sustaining our Joint Commitment to Improve Access to the Mental Health Care of Veterans and Their Families” will be hosted at VA’s Manhattan Campus on Wednesday, September 28, 10AM-3PM.
This Summit is co-sponsored by the Veterans Mental Health Coalition of NYC and NAMI-NYC Metro. The program focusing on “My VA Access”and Suicide Prevention is open to Veterans, Mental Health Professionals and to Community Partners providing mental health services to Veterans and their families.
The keynote speaker for the event is Catherine Barber, a senior researcher at the Harvard School of Public Health’s Injury Research Center, where she led the pilot for what is now the CDC’s National Violent Death Reporting System.
